All-State honors for Martinez, Rivera, Flenner
Three Phoenix soccer players earned Class 4A All-State soccer honors for their efforts during the 2018 season.
The Pirates' Victor Martinez, Moises Rivera and Bryson Flenner were honored. Martinez was a first-team selection while Rivera and Flenner were both second-team picks.
Martinez, a freshman, was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Year. He teamed with Flenner to form a formidable offense as the Pirates finishes 9-0-1 in conference play and advanced to the state semifinals before falling to North Marion 1-0.
Rivera gave up just six goals on the season as Phoenix finished 14-1-1 overall.
