PHS up to the "Challenge" in big win

This time, the Phoenix girls' basketball team wasted no team getting things going.

After a slow start during the first half of a season-opening win on Thursday, the Pirates took charge early on the way to a 45-25 victory over visiting Cascade Christian in a non-conference game at PHS on Saturday afternoon. Phoenix led 12-4 after one quarter and never looked back.

Josie Bolstad's 11 points an 11 rebounds led a Phoenix team which saw all nine players score in the victory. Phoenix is 2-0 on the season and will host Eagle Point on Tuesday night.
