Phoenix finishes third at Rogue Valley Championships

The Phoenix wrestling team finished 2018 with a solid third-place finish at the Rogue Valley Championships on Saturday.
PHS got an individual title from Ezra DeLuca (113 pounds). Jacky Hawkins was second at 145 while Dane Johnson was second at 170 pounds. Elijah Leonis finished third at 138 while Emma Truex (126) and Ryan Brumble (195) both finished fourth. Brumble recorded four pins on the day while Leonis and Truex had three each.
Phoenix returns to action on Thursday in a dual at Ashland (5 pm) before taking part in the Nor-Cal Championships in Redding this weekend as well as Saturday's Eagle Point Invitational.
