Preparing for busy 2020 in the pool

The Phoenix swimming team is looking to move into the meat of its schedule with a good bit of optimism.

While small in numbers (a group numbering 15 at present) the Pirates progressed nicely through the first month of the season, making considerable strides in the process. PHS returns to action Saturday when it ventures to the Grants Pass YMCA for the annual Rogue Valley Meet.

Senior Ford Fogelman (500 freestyle), junior Nate Wood (100 breaststroke) and sophomore Heidi Taylor (100 butterfly) are among the standouts for the Pirates, who have been holding "daily doubles" between Christmas and New Years as they prepare for a return to competition.
