The Phoenix baseball team is 4-0 after a 15-1 win at North Valley on Wednesday afternoon.
Senior Brandon Zanni earned his second win on the season, striking out nine in four innings of work. Trystan Norris pitched the final inning for Phoenix.
A seven-run third inning broke the game open for the Pirates, who totaled 14 hits on the day. Zanni, martin Scala, Ethan Humble Norris and Ian Wood all had two hits in the win.
Phoenix has outscored its opponents 43-5 to open the season. The Pirates host North Valley on Saturday afternoon at Colver Field.
