The Phoenix baseball team rolled to two more wins on Saturday, downing visiting North Valley 14-4 and 14-1 in a Skyline Conference doubleheader at Hagler-James Park.
Ian Wood led the offensive surge in the opener, collecting three hits and driving in three runs. The senior also pitched two innings, striking out three. Trystan Norris added a pair of hits in the win. Eli Page pitched the first three innings, holding NV hitless.
Sophomore Julius Bolstad struck out seven and allowed only one hit in four innings of the nightcap. Ethan Humble pitched the final inning for the Pirates, striking out the side. Andrew Hull and Page both had a pair of hits in the win.
Phoenix is 6-0 heading into a three-game series with Mazama, also 6-0, this week.
