The Phoenix softball team had places to go and people to see!
That must have been the case as the Pirates needed a combined seven innings to sweep the visiting North Valley Knights in a Skyline Conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon, winning 18-3 and 16-0.
Raelyssa Goff pitched a two-hitter in the three-inning opener before Kayden Vos one-hit the Knights in the nightcap.
The offensive movement was led by senior Kassandra Skaff who had four hits on the day. Goff and Josie Bolstad both delivered three-run triples in the opener. Kendall Heywood and Vos both had three hits in the nightcap while Bolstad and Lola Lumbreras added two hits each.
Phoenix is 6-0 on the season heading into a three-game series with Mazama, also 6-0, this week.
