The Phoenix track and field teams produced some impressive results in a pair of home meets.

The Pirates hosted Klamath Union in a Skyline Conference dual on April 27. Jane Johnson and Kyla Potratz were double winners for the Phoenix girls while Fa Masalosalo won the shot put and discus for the Phoenix boys. On May 1 several Phoenix distance runners took part in an invitational on their home track, participating in the Phillips-Klimek event. The meet was named for a pair of distinguished PHS track and field alumni, Marci Klimek and Amanda Phillips. Kyla Potratz finished fourth in a strong girls' 3000-meter field to lead the Pirates while Elwood Hosking had the best boys' finish (11th) in the loaded 3000-meter boys' field. Noah Marshall was eighth in the 800 while Fatima Flores was 11th in the 800 for the Phoenix girls.
