Pirate girls added two more wins

The Phoenix girls' basketball team is 5-2 on the season after a pair of wins last week.

PHS closed the week with a 48-21 win at North Valley on Saturday afternoon. Josie Bolstad scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Morgan James and Lola Lumbreras both had eight points. Phoenix outscored the Knights 21-7 in the second half to pull away.

The win evened Phoenix's record in Skyline Conference play to 2-2.

The Pirates dropped a 48-26 Friday at Hidden Valley after downing Eagle Point 39-20 in a non-league contest on Wednesday.

PHS returns to action Tuesday, hosting Henley.
