The push toward the Skyline Conference track and field meet continued on Wednesday for the Phoenix Pirates.
With the Skyline meet only a few weeks away, the Pirates continued their preparations with numerous athletes posting impressive efforts during a five-team meet at Klamath Union High School. Sienna Bauer was a triple winner, taking honors in the 100, 200 and long jump. Teammate Cristal Tellez won the discus and Sophia Stubblefield the 800. For the Pirate boys, Fa Masalasolo took honors in the shot put.
The Phoenix girls finished third as a team while the boys were fourth. Skyline foes Klamath Union and Mazama plus 2A schools Lakeview and Lost River were also in the field.
