Pirates third at North Bend meet

The Phoenix swim teams finished third in a meet at North Bend on Saturday.
Alec Shepherd won the 50 freestyle while finishing third in the 100 breaststroke. Devin Wenaus was fifth in the 50 free while Bailey Olson was sixth in the 500 free for the PHS boys, who totalled 32 team points. North Bend won the meet with 142 points while Lebanon was second with 128.
Ruby Mosier placed fifth in the 500 free while Pearl Ward was fifth in the 50 free for the PHS girls. Phoenix compiled 26 team points. North Bend won with 193 and Lebanon was second with 83.
The Pirates return to action Saturday in the Alll Skyline Meet at the Grants Pass YMCA.
