Phoenix High School Assistant Principal Toby Walker was among those inducted into the Southern Oregon University Athletic Hall of Fame on September 29.

A graduate of Burns High School, Walker was a football standout at SOU from 2001-2004. The entire 2001 Raider team was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Mr. Walker was a standout defensive back at SOU, earning NAIA honorable mention All-America honors in 2004. He was the PHS football coach for two seasons and served as athletic director for the Phoenix-Talent School District for four years before moving into his current role as assistant principal at the high school.
