The winter sports season has arrived for the Phoenix Pirates.

PHS will start the wrestling season at home, hosting the Phoenix Invitational on Friday, Dec. 1 beginning at 11 am. The seven-team tournament will feature a dual-meet format for varsity teams as well as crab pools for JV wrestlers.

Saturday, the Pirate swimming team dives into action, taking part in the Valley Relays at the Medford YMCA.

Basketball will get underway on Tuesday, December 5 when the PHS boys and girls play host to Illinois Valley.

Over 125 student-athletes are taking part in winter sports at PHS.
