A winning season and trips to the post-season led to a considerable list of Phoenix baseball and softball players earning All-Skyline Conference honors.
Leading the way is senior Liam Serean. The righthander was named the Skyline’s Pitcher of the Year after helping the Pirates finish 9-6 in the conference and 16-12 overall.
Classmate Freedom Martinez was also a first-team Skyline selection at pitcher while Mason Stella repeated as a first-team selection in the outfield.
Infielders Kade Beer (senior) and Braeden Watts (junior) earned second-team accolades as did outfielder AJ Stanfield (junior). Sophomore Brandon Zanni was an honorable mention choice as a utility player.
For Pirate softball, a pair of players earned first-team Skyline honors. Josie Bolstad (sophomore) led the Pirate outfield while also having a big year at the plate while Abi George (junior) played a strong second base for PHS while also providing offense from the leadoff spot.
Halie Bowman (senior) was among the top hitters in the conference and earned second-team honors at catcher. Kate Hanson (senior) was a steady influence at third base and the plate to earn second-team infield honors while Raelyssa Goff (freshman) was a second-team selection at the utility position after working as the team’s top pitcher and shortstop.
Shortstop/designated hitter senior Makenna Page (infield) and junior outfielder Ashley Gurr both earned honorable mention for the Pirates, who posted an 8-7 mark in the conference and finished 13-12 overall.
