The Phoenix boys' basketball team is heading back to the post-season.

The Pirates will head to Banks on Saturday, Feb. 26 for a 4A play-in game. Tipoff is set for 3 pm at Banks High School (outside of HIllsboro).

Phoenix finished 5-5 in the Skyline Conference and 10-13 overall. The Pirates are ranked 22nd in the state after winning three of their last four games.

Meanwhile, Banks is ranked ninth after tying for the Cowapa League title with a 7-1 mark. The Braves are 17-6 overall.

Phoenix advanced to the play-in round in 2020, knocking off higher-seeded Sweet Home to put itself within one game of the OSAA State Tournament. The Pirates eventually dropped a heart-breaking three-point decision at Philomath.
