After a long wait it was a short stay for three Phoenix wrestlers at the OSAA State Tournament.

The traditional two-day tournament was reduced to one day due to winter weather in the Portland area. The Pirate group arrived on Wednesday, only to have the tournament pushed back to Friday. After spending Thursday in a hotel, the Pirates made their way to the Memorial Coliseum on Friday for the tournament.

Senior Emery Tiesi, junior Erik Reyes-Medina and sophomore Tanner Schuh represented PHS. Each dropped their first two matches in the double-elimination event. Tiesi competed at 170 pounds, Reyes-Medina at 132 and Schuh at 106.
