A quartet of basketball players from Phoenix High School were named to all-Skyline Conference first teams for their efforts during the 2024 season.
Two boys and two girls were recognized. Seniors Robin Trenbeath and Dylan Harper represented the PHS boys while senior Anabell Delgado and junior Alissa Alvarez were honored on the girls' side.
Trenbeath and Harper combined to lead PHS to a second-place finish in the conference and a spot in the OSAA state playoffs at the 4A level. Meanwhile, Delgado and Alvarez helped their team finish third in the Skyline and a Class 4A play-in berth. All four players were among team leaders in most statistical categories.
Harper was also an all-defensive team selection.
For the boys, junior Brayden Decker earned second-team honors while sophomore Amaru Williams and junior Diego Hernandez were honorable mention selections. Phoenix coach Troy McNichols was named the conference's boys' coach of the year.
For the girls, junior Mae Woodward was a second-team honoree while freshman Lilly Quintero was honorable mention and an all-defensive team selection.
The Phoenix boys finished 16-7 on the season while the girls were 13-11.
