Ron Williams
Ron was a standout athlete and coach at Phoenix High School. He was a three-sport athlete, quarterbacking the 1963 football State Championship team. He earned all-conference honors at both quarterback and defensive back, quarterbacking the 1964 Shrine Bowl team. He set school records in the pole vault and discus before heading to Southern Oregon State College where he was a four-year starter, earning all-conference honors at running back. He ws inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2007. As a coach at Phoenix, he guided the Pirates to a pair of state titles and four conference championships. He was the head coach in the Shrine Bowl two times and AA Coach of the Year twice.
