A mix of youth and experience is making an impression for the Phoenix wrestling team so far this season.
Seniors Micheal Walker and Sam Brumble have provided highlights from an experience standpoint while freshman Isabella Prinslow has done well in her first high school competitions.
Walker is ranked fourth in the state at 160 pounds after finishing third at the annual Grants Pass Winter Kickoff event last month. Brumble made his way to the 170-pound semifinals and eventually finished sixth at Grants Pass. Meanwhile, Prinslow rolled through the 130-pound girls' division, pinning her way to wins in all matches.
The Pirates return to action Saturday when they will take part in the annual Eagle Point Invitational.
