Pirates end tennis at districts

Game Date: May 12, 2022

The Phoenix girls' tennis team saw its season come to a close at the district meet, held at North Medford High School on May 12-13.

Sophomore Agatha Hosking picked up a first-round win before falling in the second round. Coach Tauer was proud of the efforts of all of the players, who comprised one of the larger teams in school history.

"They really represented the school well. I was proud of all of them."

Courtney House and Ally Ellis were the only seniors on the team, meaning PHS returns a long list of letterwinners for the 2022-2023 season. Clara Newell, Alexis Rodgers, Marissa Davies, Magge Bakke and Kimberly Camacho are among those who will be back along with Hosking for Phoenix in the spring.
