A battle of the Pirates went to Marshfield as the visitors scored a 2-1 win over the Phoenix Pirates in a non-conference girls' soccer game in Phoenix on August 31.
Phoenix, which returns to action on Thursday when it hosts Eagle Point, led 1-0 after a ball deflected off a Marshfield player found the goal in the first half. The visitors responded with a pair of second-half goals to take the victory.
Sophomore Addie McConnell had a strong game in goal for Phoenix to lead the defensive effort for the host Pirates.
