HIDDEN VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL: 10
The top baseball team in the Skyline Conference, and possibly the state, ended the regular season for the Phoenix Pirates on Friday afternoon.
Hidden Valley downed Phoenix 10-0 and 11-0 in a Skyline doubleheader at HV. The wins on Saturday came on the heels of an 11-0 win over Phoenix on Wednesday. Monte Spence, Trystan Norris and Brandon Zanni all had a single in the doubleheader, the only three hits PHS could manage in the two games. The Pirates were no-hit by Hidden Valley on Wednesday.
The Pirates finished the regular season 7-8 and in fourth place in the conference. Phoenix will close the season with a pair of games at Mazama on Wednesday as part of the OSAA's Culminating Week activities for spring sports.
