Sienna Bauer continues to shine.
The Phoenix High School sophomore made an impact at the annual Crater Classic Meet on April 14, winning the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.92 seconds. Bauer’s effort helped the Pirates score 16 team points in a meet made up of big schools from around the state. She added a sixth-place finish in the triple jump, recording a best of 32-feet-10.
Also for the Pirates, the 4x100 team place seventh (52.20), Anna Naash was eighth in the long jump (15-7 ½) and Sophia Tringolo 10th in the 100 hurdles (17.86).
The PHS boys picked up two points in the meet thanks to a seventh-place finish from the 4x100 team (45.58).
The Pirates have a busy schedule to close out the week, with a Skyline Conference meet at Mazama on Thursday, the annual Bob Newland Freshmen/Sophomore Meet in Medford on Friday and the Lithia/Mazama Invitational in Klamath Falls on Saturday.
