Six Phoenix athletes brought home first-place finishes from a four-team meet at Mazama on Thursday.
Robby Vos was a double-winner for the Pirate boys, claiming honors in the 800 (2:16.36) and the 3000 (10:21.82). Also for the PHS boys, Joe Grace won the javelin with a best of 151-2 1/2. As a team, the boys placed third with 66 points.
The Pirate girls claimed victories in four events. Lupita Alegria won the 3000 (13:26), Sienna Bauer the 100 hurdles (18:01), Jasper Cortell the 300 hurdles (54:00) and Anna Nash the long jump (16-1). Vivian Tauer (3000), Sophia Tringolo (100 hurdles) and Nash (100) all finished second.
The Pirates return to action Friday in the Bob Newland JV Invite at South Medford before heading back to Klamath Falls on Saturday for the Lithia Invitational.
