Rain and cold weren't enough to deter the Phoenix track and field teams on Saturday.
The Pirates competed with big schools from around the Pacific Northwest in the Summit Invitational in Bend, turning in some impressive results on the day.
Sienna Bauer continued her impressive junior season, winning the 100 hurdles (15.51 seconds) while finishing seventh in the triple jump (34-2.5).
Meanwhile, sophomore Noah Marshall set the pace for the boys. Competing in the steeplechase, Marshall covered the 2000-meter course in 6:54.82, good for third place.
Additional top-20 finishes for PHS came from Justin Vermillion (16th in the javelin), Cristal Tellez (18th in the discus and the javelin), Lupita Alegria (19th in the 800), Sophia Stubblefield (20th in the 1500).
The Pirates return to action Wednesday when they will serve as the host of a five-school meet at St. Mary's School in Medford.
