The Phoenix football team had its chances on Friday night.
With Henley in a generous mood, the Pirates recovered four fumbles but were not able to capitalize on any of them in a 21-0 Skyline Conference loss to the Hornets in Klamath Falls.
PHS fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter and wasn't able to find the end zone. Henley extended the lead to 21-0 in the third quarter. Phoenix had chances throughout the night but managed only three yards of total offense in the game.
The Pirates (0-6 overall, 0-3 in the Skyline) return home to host Cottage Grove on Friday night for homecoming.
