The Phoenix boys' basketball team got back on track Tuesday night, downing Eagle Point 54-41 in a non-league match-up in Eagle Point.

Braeden Watts scored 13 points and AJ Stanfield added 12 in the win over the 5A Eagle. The Pirates (2-1 on the season) opened a 14-5 lead after one quarter and never trailed. Ethan Hutsell and Neco Ortega added eight points each while Ty Clayton pitched in seven for the Pirates, who return to action Thursday in the Evergreen Classic at Hidden Valley High School.
