Dylan Harper stepped up Tuesday night, pulling the Phoenix boys' basketball team with him in the process.
 

The sophomore guard scored a season-high 21 points, leading his team to a 58-34 win over visiting Hidden Valley in Skyline Conference play.

Harper helped fuel a 13-0 run to start the game and the Pirates never looked back to improve to 2-2 in the Skyline and 7-10 overall. Julius Bolstad, Jenner Selden and Jackson Selden all added eight points in the win. Phoenix led 29-17 at halftime before putting the game away with an 18-7 scoring run in the third quarter.

The Pirates head to Henley on Thursday to finish the first round of Skyline play.
