It was a day for ties in the Skyline Conference.
While the Phoenix boys weren't crazy about settling for a 0-0 tie with North Valley, the Pirates were bolstered by the fact that Hidden Valley managed a scoreless tie with Mazama. The deadlocks leave PHS, Mazama and North Valley all tied atop the conference with 2-0-1 records. Phoenix is 5-0-1 overall.
The Pirates outshot North Valley 17-4 and had six corner kicks but were unable to find the net. Two shots hit the post.
Phoenix returns to action Monday when it visits Henley before hosting Mazama in a showdown on Thursday.
