The Phoenix boys' soccer team got going early and often on Wednesday night in Klamath Falls.
With Jorgi Mejia setting the stage, teammates Victor Martinez and Caden Gallegos combined to power the Pirates to an 8-0 Skyline Conference win at Klamath Union.
Mejia passed out four assists while Martinez found the net four times and Gallegos three. Johnny Reyes scored the other Pirate goal in the contest which was stopped in the second half due to the mercy rule.
Tucker Speaks recorded the shutout in goal for Phoenix, which returns to play on Monday when it hosts Hidden Valley in a 4:30 pm start at Colver Field. The game can be seen live on tablerocksports.net
