Skyline Conference champion Hidden Valley had too much firepower for the Phoenix Pirates on Tuesday night.
The Mustangs flexed their muscles with a 20-point second quarter on the way to a 59-26 victory to close the regular season for both teams.
Phoenix trailed just 9-6 after one quarter before host Hidden Valley pulled away with its second-quarter surge. HV held PHS to no more than eight points in any quarter.
Josie Bolstad and Marcella Badillo both scored six points for the Pirates, who finished the season 1-9 in conference play and 7-17 overall. Phoenix won three more games than last season.
