The Phoenix girls' basketball team continues to show it can play with anyone and everyone in the Skyline Conference.

While the Pirates weren't able to notch a win, they rallied in a big way in a 58-51 home loss to Mazama on Friday night. Trailing 37-17 at halftime, Phoenix closed the Vikings' lead throughout the final half, getting as close as three points in the fourth quarter.

Josie Bolstad (16 points) and Delani Parent (12) combined for 28 points on the night while Cassandra Skaff added 11 and Cristal Tellez eight for Phoenix, which is 1-2 in the Skyline and 8-7 overall heading into Tuesday night's home game against Klamath Union.
