The Phoenix girls' basketball team continued its impressive season on Friday night, rolling past host Klamath Union 82-43 in a Skyline Conference game in Klamath Falls.

The Pirates improved to 4-5 in  Skyline play and 11-10 overall with the wire-to-wire victory. PHS led 23-14 after one quarter and 49-28 at halftime.

Lola Lumbreras led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points. Six Pirates finished the night in double figures. Lumbreras also grabbed nine rebounds while Delani Parent scored 14 points and finished with nine rebounds. Cristal Tellez finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and eight steals, Josie Bolstad 12 rebounds and 10 points, Morgan James 12 points and Kassandra Skaff 10 points.

Ranked 20th in the state, Phoenix will host Hidden Valley on Tuesday night to close the regular season. The Pirates are expected to earn a Class 4A play-in game with site and opponent to be determined by late Tuesday night.
