Two nights earlier, the Pirates had a chance to tie the game late but were unable to execute in the final seconds at Mazama. Bolstad and Skaff scored 13 points each whlie James added 10.

Phoenix scored an impressive 52-42 non-league win at Douglas on May 21. Fatima Flores scored a career-high 18 points off the Pirate bench. The senior added six rebounds and pair of steals, helping Phoenix overcome a second-half deficit. Delani Parent and Skaff both added 11 points in the win.
