Phoenix closed the regular season on a winning note, downing Henley 42-31 to close Skyline Conference girls' basketball play on Saturday afternoon in Klamath Falls.
The win was the third of the week for the Pirates, who finished 6-4 in conference play and 9-4 overall. PHS will take part in a season-ending tournament in Seaside this week.
Delani Parent scored 14 points, Josie Bolstad nine and Morgan James eight. Bolstad added 13 rebounds, Parent nine and James five as the taller Phoenix frontline dominated play, helping the Pirates to a 17-8 lead after one quarter.
