Eventually, the Phoenix girls' soccer team was going to give up a goal.
After two straight shutouts to open the season, the Pirates held visiting Hidden Valley scoreless through the first half before the Mustangs took charge in a 4-0 Skyline Conference win at Colver Fields on Monday afternoon.
PHS found itself on the defensive for most of the night and managed only one shot on goal. The Pirates (2-1 overall) return to action Thurdsay when they travel to North Valley.
