North Valley flexed its muscle on Monday.
The defending state 4A champions topped Phoenix 8-0 in a Skyline Conference match at Colver Fields. The host Pirates trailed 2-0 at halftime before the Knights pulled away for an 8-0 victory.
Phoenix (1-6 in conference play) returns to action on Thursday, hosting Henley in a 4:30 pm start.
