For a half, the Phoenix girls' soccer team hung with North Valley in a Skyline Conference match on Thursday afternoon at Colver Field.
The Pirates trailed 2-0 at the break before the visiting Knights scored three times in the second half on the way to a 5-0 victory.
PHS (2-3-1 overall and 1-2 in conference play) returns to action Monday, hosting Henley.
