The Phoenix girls' soccer team continues to make an impression in the Skyline Conference standings...and the state for that matter!
Despite giving up a tying goal in the final seconds of a home match against Henley on Monday, the Pirates find themselves in a great spot nearing the halfway point of the Skyline Conference season. PHS is ranked 16th in the state and would be in the post-season if it started today. Phoenix closes the first half of conference play on Thursday at Mazama.
Lupita Alegria and Mackenzie Christianson scored goals in the first half on Monday. Henley responded with a first-half goal before tying the contest in the final 10 seconds.
Jackie Rodriguez worked in goal, taking over for Marcela Badillo, who missed the game due to injury.
The Pirates are 1-2-1 in conference play and 2-3-2 overall.
