The Phoenix girls soccer team is proving it can win at home or on the road.
The Pirates brought back proof from Klamath Union on Tuesday, downing the Pelicans 5-3 in a Skyline Conference match.
Maggie Carrillo scored three goals in the first half to set the pace for Phoenix, which improved to 4-3-2 overall and 3-2-1 in conference play. Julissa Vallasenor and Alex Hernandez also scored for the Pirates, who return to action Thursday when they host Hidden Valley.
