Soccer girls keep improving

While they're still looking for their first win of the season, the Phoenix girls' soccer team continues to make strides.

One of the youngest teams in the Skyline Conference, the Pirates are 0-4 in the condensed winter-spring season. PHS has led in two of its matches before both visiting Klamath Union and North Valley rallied.

Alex Hernandez scored the lone PHS goal in a 3-1 loss to North Valley on Thursday. Maria Pyeatt continues to impress in goal for PHS, which returns to action on March 18 at Klamath Union.
