PHS wraps up girls' soccer season

While goals and wins were tough to come by, the Phoenix girls' soccer team made progress during the abbreviated spring season.

The Pirates completed Skyline Conference play with a 5-0 loss to Henley on Senior Day at Phoenix-Talent Rising Field on Saturday.

For the season, Phoenix finished 0-9. Four seniors (Estania Ortiz, Arely Gonzalez, Yareli Ledezma and Alexsandra Hernandez) were part of the program this spring.

Coach Stephanie Vandenbusch will return the majority of the team as well as a strong incoming freshmen class. Workouts are already being planned for the summer to prepare for the fall season.
