Phoenix closed the girls' soccer season on Monday, dropping a 6-2 decision at Henley.
The Pirates (3-10 overall, 1-9 in the Skyline Conference) fell behind 2-0 early before Carsyn Gallegos scored a goal in the 20th minute off a pass from Sofia Rodriguez. Maddy Mayer accounted for the other Pirate goal on a penalty kick in the second half.
Coach Stephanie Vandenbusch cited the play of midfielder Morgan James in setting up transition opportunities from the midfield.
Seniors Mayer, Kayla Wilcox and Sophie Henderson played their final game for the Pirates.
