The Phoenix volleyball team went big on Tuesday night.
Sophomores hitters Josie Bolstad and Delani Parent both had a big night, leading PHS to a three-set sweep of host Sutherlin in a non-conference match. The Pirates won 25-16, 25-16, 28-26, improving to 1-2 on the season.
Bolstad recorded seven kills and four blocks while Parent notched eight kills and added a pair of blocks. Katelyn Hanson added seven kills to the hit parade while Sophia Tringolo totalled 10 aces and three kills. Abi George added an all-around solid night for the Pirates, who return to action on Saturday at the North Valley Tournament.
