The Phoenix volleyball team continued its preparation for the Skyline Conference season with a demanding road trip on Tuesday night.
The Pirates, who will open conference play at Henley on Thursday, took part in a three-team event with Tillamook and Junction City in Junction City. PHS fell to both schools, who are ranked among the top 15 in the state, but brought home some positives in readying to face the Hornets.
Abi George had a solid night as the team's. libero while Josie Bolstad and Delani Parent both played well at the net for Phoenix, which is ranked 23rd in the state.
