Despite a loss to the Skyline Conference leaders, the Phoenix volleyball team is still in prime shape nearing the halfway point of the season.
The Pirates were swept by Hidden Valley on Tuesday, falling 25-18, 25-13, 25-22 in a match at Phoenix. Six kills from Josie Bolstad and five from Delani Parent led the Pirates. Anna Ellis had 12 assists.
Phoenix is 2-2 in Skyline play and returns to action on Thursday when it visits North Valley in a key Skyline match.
