A season of tough losses ended with another one for the Phoenix Pirates.
The Pirates continued to push some of the top teams in the Skyline Conference but couldn't quite get past visiting North Valley, falling 16-14 in the final set on Oct. 22.
Juniors Jourden Devey and Josie Bolstad had big nights for Phoenix. Devey finished with 36 digs and 12 kills while Bolstad had 25 digs and 14 kills. Rae Goff added 22 digs while senior Celeste Mackinnon had a solid night with nine kills.
The Pirates finished 3-7 in the Skyline and 4-17 overall.
