Vos finishes ninth for PHS at Rogue Invite

Robby Vos finished ninth among big-school competition to lead the Phoenix Pirates at Saturday's Rogue Invitational Cross Country Meet in Talent.
Vos toured the 5000-meter course at Colver Fields in 17:04.83. Also for the Pirate boys, Noah Marshall finished 31st in 18:44, Justin Vermillion 45th in 20:29, Dilan Mathieu 53rd in 21:49 and Hayden Erwin 59th in 22:34. The Pirates placed sixth with 170 team points.
Lupita Allegria set the pace for the PHS girls, finishing 32nd in 22:39. Maricela Alvarado-Powers was 40th in 23:27, Shelby Platt 53rd in 25:11, Jasmine Christian 59th in 26:14 and Vivian Tauer 62nd in 27:32.
The Pirates are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday at the Henley Invitational in Klamath Falls.
