Pirate boys top 4A schools in Lithia meet

The Phoenix boys contined their preparation for the Skyline Conference meet with a solid finish in the State of Jefferson Invitational at Lithia Park in Ashland on Saturday.
The Pirates were the top 4A school in the event, topping Skyline foes HIdden Valley, Mazama and Henley. The Pirates were seventh overall in the event.
Robby Vos was third overall, finishing the hilly course in 16:36. Noah Marshall was 38th (18:37), Justin Vermillion 52nd (20:05), Dilan Mathieu 60th (20:41) and Hayden Erwin 61st (20:42) for the Pirates.
The Phoenix girls were ninth overall, finishing behind Skyline foe Henley. Lupita Alegria finished 34th (22:15) to lead the Pirates. Jasper Cortell was 45th (24:01), Shelby Platt 54th (24:45), Jasm Christian 59th (25:46) and Vivian Tauer 56th (27:02).
PHS returns to action on Saturday at the Harrier Clasic at Bryant Park.
