Final look at district course

The Phoenix cross country teams got a final look at the course they’ll run the Skyline Conference race on in a few weeks when they took part in the Southern Oregon Invitational at Valley of the Rogue State Park on Saturday morning.
The Pirates used the race as a training run and posted considerably slower times then they will when the Skyline meet takes place on October 30.
The PHS boys finished eighth with 245 points. Meanwhile, the girls were fifth with 131.

The Pirates return to action Wednesday, hosting a multi-team event at Lake of the Woods.
